👑 CHECK, CHECKMATE & CAPTURE
Welcome to Chess: The Fourth Dimension®, the ultimate evolution of the world’s greatest strategy game. Designed for 2, 3, or 4 players, this version transforms classic chess into a thrilling multiplayer experience — where alliances form, strategies collide, and only one King survives.
Your goal: Protect your King. Eliminate the others.
Master your moves, anticipate your opponents, and discover a new dimension of chess.
The Blue player always goes first.
Play proceeds clockwise around the board.
Each player must move one piece per turn. Skipping turns is not allowed.

Official Rule & Setup Guide
Strategy Reference Sheet
Place the board on a flat surface with all four colors facing inward.
Each color’s pieces are arranged in the same order as standard chess:
Back Row (from left to right): Rook, Knight, Bishop, Queen, King, Bishop, Knight, Rook
Front Row: Eight Pawns
The board layout diagram can be found on the yellow instruction sheet included in the box.
Players sit on the sides of the board (not the corners).
CHECK
A King is in Check when it is under direct attack by any opponent’s piece.
When in Check, the player must immediately respond by:
Moving the King out of danger,
Capturing the attacking piece, or
Blocking the attack with another piece.
A King can be checked by multiple players at once. The checked player has only one move to escape all threats.
💬 COMMUNICATION & ALLIANCES
In 3-player games, teammates may discuss and plan moves freely.
In 4-player games, conversation and alliances are allowed, but betrayals are part of the fun!
Remember: only one King can ultimately rule the Fourth Dimension.
In Free-for-All (4 Players): The last remaining King wins.
In Team Modes (2v1 or 2v2): The first side to checkmate an opponent’s King wins.
In 2-Player Mode: The player whose opponent’s King is checkmated wins.
